Due to the personalised nature of the bespoke colour customisation, delivery time is approximate 14 business days. This is based on delivery address in the main centres where nationwide couriers deliver. Delivery to addresses in outlying areas may take a few days longer. A free self pickup option is also available from the factory, which will be arranged once the manufacturing is complete. A single purchase over R1500.00 qualifies for Free Delivery within South Africa. As we utilise couriers, delays by the courier are unfortunately outside of our control. Due to COVID-19, our reality is also based on uncertainty and we take it one step at a time, which also include courier companies as well as our suppliers, also impacted by this and may need to make another plan when things change.
Each of our products are manufactured specifically per the options selected by our clients. Each items is made according to the client’s selected style, their unique creative colour expression (through our colour combination options) and various sizes. The culmination of these options results in a bespoke product for their unique owner. To assist with best fit for these bespoke shoes (and application of the adage ‘measure twice, cut once’), clients should ensure that they measure their feet correctly and select the applicable option for each style. Please note that each of our various shoes styles have different measurements (length) and fits (narrow / normal / wide), and as such ‘one size fits all’ does not apply. Please note that the responsibility for correct measurements lies with the client.
Due to the tailored nature of our shoe production based on client specified colour combinations, style and sizes on order, the general rule is that we are unable to accept returns / exchanges. With more than 30 leather colours we use, and at minimum of our shoes having 2 different sections to colour, the bespoke colour combination of 1 shoe design is more than 900 colour combinations (which does not even keep in consideration the multiples combinations where the applicable shoe sizes as applicable) and as such would have to match all these criteria to be again purchased by another client. Should any exceptions be made by management, any returns must be unworn and in their original condition and packaging, and returned within a 30 day period. The client will be responsible for the costs of the return of the product and delivery of the exchange. Proof of purchase from Esthe Leather must be submitted together with the return. Should the product be exchanged for a different product, the difference in purchase price will be billed if exchange item is of a higher value that the item you are returning.
We do our best to ensure that our products are of high quality and without defects. Should a product appear to be defective, please contact us to assess this and to arrange for the return of the product where applicable. We may repair or exchange the defective product for the same product, provided the product is returned within 6 months of purchase. The following will not be regarded as defects, such as damage resulting from normal wear and tear; damage arising from negligence, user abuse or incorrect usage of the product; or where specs of the product, although accurately described on the website and / or catalogue and generally fit for its intended use do not suit you. Due to the nature of the dye of leather, the difference in colour hues from batches and deviation from illustrated colour blocks will not be deemed as a defect. Leather is a natural product and as such leather texture and unique characteristics are part and parcel of our products, and are not defects.
We use either bovine or goat leather for the leather shoe outers; cork lining for the cork outers; and pig lining or cotton for the shoe inside linings. Our insole are man-made with our outer soles either PU or TR rubber.
Our Colour Combo viewer serves as a visual assistant for the colour options and how it is possible to mix them for the various parts of the products. Although our approach aims to convert a 3 dimensional physical product into a flat structured electronic image, it should be noted that it is unable to represent the actual finish of the leather impacted by (i) the light range can not be conveyed (Matt // Gloss // Metallic // Satin) nor (ii) the actual texture of the leathers (Smooth // Flat Grain // Distressed // Nubuck // Embossed // Suede). Colour, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. And as such, our viewer is assist with a mental picture of the colour combinations in action, but not the finish. Please note that colour variances may be applicable between the electronic displayed colour (due to computer and electronic devices colour display limitations) and the actual product colours. Our site include separate photos of actual leather colours as well as on our products, to which the colour combo viewer can be compared (but even actual photo and product make changes under different light source conditions).
